Grief does not follow a schedule. Some days feel manageable. Others feel impossible. If you are carrying a loss right now — a person, a relationship, a future you expected — God sees what you are holding. You do not have to rush through this.
Grief is not a lack of faith. It is love with nowhere to go. God does not ask you to pretend you are fine. He asks you to come as you are. You can bring Him your tears, your anger, your silence. He can hold all of it.
Lord, this loss is heavy.
Some days I do not know how to carry it.
Please be close to me in this.
Comfort me where words cannot reach.
Help me breathe through the hard moments.
Give me permission to grieve without rushing.
Remind me that You see every tear.
And when I am ready, lead me forward gently.
Amen.
Let yourself feel it. Grief needs space, not silence. Give yourself permission today.
Tell one person. You do not have to grieve alone. Let someone sit with you.
Do one small gentle thing. A walk, a cup of tea, a Psalm. One small act of care for yourself.
Day 1: Read Psalm 34. Pray the prayer above.
Day 2: Write the name of who or what you have lost. Tell God what you miss.
Day 3: Read Psalm 139. Remember God knows you fully.
Day 4: Let yourself rest. Rest is not weakness.
Day 5: Read John 11:32–35. Jesus wept. He understands.
Day 6: Tell one person how you are really doing.
Day 7: Read Revelation 21:3–5. Hold on to what is coming.
